Absolute value inequalities
Printable practice with an answer key the engine computes, at three levels, in as many versions as you need.
Problem types
- |x + a| < c (one chain): |x − 3| < 5
- |x + a| > c (two rays): |x + 1| > 4
- a coefficient inside the bars: |2x − 1| ≤ 7
- a number outside the bars: |x − 3| + 2 < 7
- less than a negative: no solution: |x + 1| < −2
- greater than a negative: all real numbers: |x + 1| > −2
