Distributive property: a(x + b) = c
Printable practice with an answer key the engine computes, at three levels, in as many versions as you need.
Problem types
- a(x ± b) = c: 2(x + 3) = 14
- the number first: a(b ± x) = c: 2(4 − x) = 10
- −a(x ± b) = c (negative factor): −2(x + 3) = 14
- a coefficient inside the parentheses: 3(2x − 1) = 15
- the number first: a(c ± bx) = d: 2(4 + 4x) = 10
- a minus in front of the group: 10 − 2(x + 1) = 4
