Multi-step inequalities: combine like terms
Printable practice with an answer key the engine computes, at three levels, in as many versions as you need.
Problem types
- combine like terms first: 2x + 3x + 4 < 19
- combine like terms first (flip): 2x − 5x + 4 ≤ 19
- x on both sides: 5x + 3 > 2x + 12
- x on both sides (flip): 2x + 9 > 5x − 3
- many terms on both sides: 2x + 1 − 7x + 9x − 2 < 9 + 2x − 2
- many terms on both sides (flip): x + 4 − 2x < 3x + 9 − x
