Order of operations: with exponents
Printable practice with an answer key the engine computes, at three levels, in as many versions as you need.
Problem types
- add, with an exponent: 4 + 3²
- multiply, with an exponent: 2 × 3²
- the whole sum gets the power: (3 + 4)²
- subtract, with an exponent: 20 − 2³
- a negative base in parentheses: 5 × (−2)³ + 6² ÷ 4
- −a² beside (−a)²: −3² + (−3)² × 2 − 5
