Solving by factoring
Printable practice with an answer key the engine computes, at three levels, in as many versions as you need.
Problem types
- (x − a)(x − b) = 0: (x + 5)(x − 3) = 0
- x² + bx + c = 0: x² + 2x − 15 = 0
- x² − c = 0 (a difference of squares): x² − 49 = 0
- x² + bx = c (make one side 0 first): x² + 2x = 15
- ax² + bx = 0 (a common factor of x): x² − 5x = 0
- ax² + bx + c = 0, a past 1: 2x² + 7x + 3 = 0
- ax² + bx + c = 0, a common factor first: 3x² + 12x − 36 = 0
- ax² + bx = c, a past 1 (make one side 0 first): 3x² = 10x − 8

Make your own
Pick the count, the level and the version, and print it with work space and the key on its own page. The same skill also makes an I Do, We Do, You Do lesson, a Mosaic, a Decoder and more.
