Solving by square roots
Printable practice with an answer key the engine computes, at three levels, in as many versions as you need.
Problem types
- x² = a number: x² = 49
- ax² + c = d (get x² alone first): 2x² − 8 = 42
- (x − h)² = a number: (x − 3)² = 16
- a radical answer: x² = 12
- no real solution: x² = −9
Sample Sheet · Level 1
- x² = 81
- 196 = x²
- x² = 16
- x² = 25
- x² = 64
- 169 = x²

Sample Sheet · Level 3
- x² = −64
- 196 = x²
- x² = 144
- (x − 2)² = 64
- (x + 4)² = 1
- (x − 6)² = 52
- 2x² + 50 = 100
- 5x² − 20 = 25
